Neighborhood
Old Town Lafayette is quiet and friendly, and you will have easy access to all the city has to offer! The RTD bus stop is just three blocks up the street, allowing you to easily explore Denver, Boulder, Longmont, and even hop up to Nederland for a tour of the gem shop or the Carousel of Happiness.
The Peach Festival, Oatmeal Festival, Weekly Farmer’s Market and Art Night Out are popular events with live music and fun activities for the whole family. These are just a few of the many events that take place in Lafayette. You’ll find many sculptures by local artists on the corners along Public Road.
Take a walk up the street to Public Road or Simpson Street, home to a variety of local businesses, including restaurants, microbreweries, antique stores, coffee shops, an apothecary, and even a chocolatier!
Our neighborhood is a mix of old and new, with long-time residents and young families alike. You can catch some live music at the open mic at The Cannon Mine on Wednesday nights, or play board games and have a brew at Odd 13 on Monday nights. When you need to pick up some essentials, Walgreens and Walmart are nearby as well as King Soopers grocey store as well as Vitamin Cottage and Sprouts Market. There are many chain restaurants like Chipotle and Wendys just down the road, but with so much local flavor right at your doorstep, you may not want to leave the neighborhood at all.
